Business Development Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
Generate and develop business prospects through cold calling, networking, trade show opportunities, and marketing provided leads within a defined geographic territory
Schedule telephone sales appointments with prospects to determine business opportunity
Effective planning to conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations with prospects on a daily basis
Maintenance of prospect data including complete profile information, sources, stages within the sales process, and dates within Salesforce CRM
Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner
Skills and Demeanor
Effective time management and organization skills
Salesforce.com experience preferred
Persuasive personality that is energized by helping people make a decision
Discovery and questioning skills that draw out prospect needs and key objectives
Education and Qualifications
Degree in any field of sales and marketing
Or demonstrated successful experience selling marketing software to a privately held businesses.
