Business Development Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop business prospects through cold calling, networking, trade show opportunities, and marketing provided leads within a defined geographic territory
  • Schedule telephone sales appointments with prospects to determine business opportunity
  • Effective planning to conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations with prospects on a daily basis
  • Maintenance of prospect data including complete profile information, sources, stages within the sales process, and dates within Salesforce CRM
  • Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner

Skills and Demeanor

  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Persuasive personality that is energized by helping people make a decision
  • Discovery and questioning skills that draw out prospect needs and key objectives

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree in any field of sales and marketing
  • Or demonstrated successful experience selling marketing software to a privately held businesses.
